Plan on having lots of fun meeting other Wayfarer sailors, and participating in two days of racing and socializing.

Consider a short vacation in the Nation's capital before or after the Regatta.

Activities abound in the region; from dinner and a show or the slots at Casino Lac Leamy, a dinner excursion on the Wakefield Steam train, staying in the haunted Jail (Youth Hostel), shopping and lunch in the Byward Market and Rideau Centre, visiting the National Museums and National Gallery on a 7 day Passport. The Gallery (http://www.gallery.ca/english/584.htm) includes exhibits from "Raphael to Carracci - the art of Papal Rome" to displays of the photography of Karsh and Steichen this summer. The Canadian War Museum presents both permanent and special exhibits as well (http://www.warmuseum.ca/cwm/exhibitions/exhibitions).

For those looking for a quieter time, there are miles of bicycle paths and walking trails both throughout the city, along the Rideau Canal and in the Gatineau Park. There are activities for every taste and interest and some really great sailing to boot. There's more below, eh!

The entry fee is $50 per boat and includes lunches for skipper and crew Saturday and Sunday. Full breakfast at the Clubhouse Saturday and Sunday is available for $5.00. A Beef Burn (BBQ) Dinner @ $20 per person for skipper and crew is planned for Saturday evening at the Club. Extra dinner tickets will be available for spouses and non-racing participants. There will be a vegetarian option. Please let us know in advance if this is to be your pleasure.

Registration is by mail or email, or at the sailing club on Friday evening from 5pm. Late registration is on Saturday morning at 9am. Those registering must be members of the Canadian Wayfarer Association or the United States Wayfarer Association. CWA memberships will be available at the Regatta registration.

The weekend's race agenda begins with the Skippers' meeting at 10am on Saturday. The last race on Sunday will not start after 1pm.

Race instructions are based on the Racing Rules of Sailing with some additions for local club requirements. These instructions are posted to this web site under "Race Agenda".
